Oh what a beautiful reflection on motherhood. It is by far the most rewarding, demeaning, fulfilling, exhausting, important, and overlooked role a human can take on.
It isn’t for everyone, because not everyone has the capacity or willingness to take it on. And it is a role that needs to be supported and properly resourced.
I love that you that you have found this joy within it! Your children are lucky and blessed. And so is your husband. And clearly, so are you, as well!
🥹🥹🥹 yes I feel ridiculously blessed - to have the kids, the mindset to appreciate them, and a husband who makes it all easier for me. Thank you for this beautiful reflection ❤️
Such a lovely read, Abigail. A wonderful reflection on your current motherhood journey, with all of its lessons learned, high points, and low points that, even by comparison to other experiences, the low points, while still exhausting, are laced with love. Thank you, as always, for sharing your reflections.
Oh Abby, I am right there with you, as a Mama and a Grandmama, it is the gift of my lifetime to share my Love with the little ones. Last night my little big girl, 18.5 crawled up on my lap, she is giant, way taller than I am, and I held her and read her a story from her childhood from our Cherokee heritage called “Grandmother Spider Brings the Sun”. This was after she told me that her hike at University that she told one of our creation stories to her teacher that I had taught her she was named for. I am so proud and so very very grateful and happy and full of the beauty of our sacred jobs as Mamas. And I love to hear the stories of your sweet Mamahood. 😊Thank you! Judi

Judi! That is such a beautiful thing - you’re LITERALLY passing yourself on. You’re such an inspiration 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Thanks Abby! I don’t think it is so much passing on myself, as keeping the Big Love and the old stories alive…..YOU are the inspiration!
