Hi Abigail, (I almost called you Abby.) You and Joe are both so Dear!
I was thinking and saying to my husband just the other day, that reading your work, both on my own and out loud to him, (which has its own perks by the way π,) has given me permission to publish some of my poems, which previously felt really racy. Ha ha ha! The most recent one I put out there, I will heretofore send out to you-it begins βYou can feelβ¦β and has a picture of a ripe cherry tree in it, and me at the end.
So thanks once again is what Iβm taking a while to say! You are outrageous, beautiful, powerful and I am proud both of you and of your brave work! (And if you too Joe, even though I donβt know you.π) Thanks for teaching an old teacher, how to be even more expressive!
Judi! This makes me smile so big. For all the reasons! One: Iβll be reading your story asap, and am so glad youβre sharing your sensual side. Two: I love that you read aloud to your husband π₯Ήπ₯² thatβs truly the best. And three: call me Abby!!!
Thanks Abby! And thanks for reading a little of my writing. I would love you as a subscriberβ¦.You lift my heart and make me laugh! Thanks again!!! Judi
''Thatβs why I think that spectrum thing is fundamental. You need to have some things that are shamey for anything to have a sexy quality. There has to be an edge somewhere. If you go too far, it becomes ludicrous. If you donβt go too far, itβs beige.''
He does! Heβs a strategist in ad land! His LinkedIn is where he shares most, but heβs just started taking a try at Substack. Find him here: @Joe Burns
I love that you published this convo, Abigail! So, so great! I was raised in an authoritarian Christian household, so I carry a lot of shame around anything sexual, but my husband has helped me heal from that (very patiently, I might add!). Married people have sex--really good sex! And this fact shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, especially for those who have children-lol! I fully support you bringing to light what goes on in the bedroom at dark (or during the day while the kids are at school/camp π).
ππ₯° this made me smile so big. Thank you, Katrina!! I so so so so appreciate you! And, Iβm so glad you and your husband found each other. We need people to bump up against us (lol) to make ourselves better ππ
This is fucking adorable. Not cute, worthy of adoration.
I forget which Commandment it is but I think Iβm leaning towards coveting my neighborβs wife. Covet is too strong, But envy is not. Joe, do what you want with your ox, ass and maidservant but cling tightly to Abigail.
So many erotic hints, mixed in with sound advice on staying romantic when the raw beasts in ourselves come roaring to duty when sex really begins. Quite informative overall.
Wait married people have consensual sex, enjoy it, and talk about it?
What? Unbelievable.
Next youβll be admitting you actually talk to each other and listen. Pfft. Married folks that actually have a healthy relationship. π
This is awesome!
π₯Ή aww man thank you ππ Just trying to remind people exactly this π€ͺβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ Appreciate you reading and seeing that π
I love this! People ask me the same thing about my husband and my writing. Very refreshing
Shame is so commonplace, it takes a lot of conviction to remind yourselves this isnβt weird, eh?! π
Yes totally! Glad to have found you here :)
π₯° ditto!

I love this clever insight by your husband.
Does he have a substack?

β€οΈ thank you for reading and Iβm so glad you thought so β€οΈ
I donβt even think writing fictitious sex reveals anything to be honest, except the imagination.
π
You two sound like a great couple.
Thank you so much π₯²β€οΈ
All for YOU^^ Go to bed some more^^
